How the Milton Select Board voted, from the Select Board’s official minutes. 5 Select Board members elected townwide. Same five members. Kathleen M. Conlon became Chair, Arthur J. Doyle Vice Chair and Michael F. Zullas Secretary in May 2021. The town has not posted minutes for the May 10, 11 and 12, 2021 meetings, so the officer vote is not here; the new officers first appear in the May 26, 2021 minutes. Covers 53 meetings, May 26 to April 25, 2022.
A monthly email on what it voted on, starting in November.
What does the Select Board do? It is the town’s executive board. It prepares the Town Meeting warrant (the list of articles voters decide), appoints members of many town boards, hires the town’s top staff, signs warrants to pay town bills, and grants licenses and permits.
Town Meeting, not the Select Board, votes the town budget and town bylaws.

"At X of Y meetings" counts the members the minutes list as present at the start of each meeting in this record. Members who step out are listed on each meeting page.
Loaded: Select Board minutes (called the Board of Selectmen until 2019) from January 9, 2018 through August 25, 2026, from the town’s online Agenda Center, which holds minutes back to 2016 (MassVoter has loaded 2018 on). Joint meetings with other boards are included, but only the Select Board’s own votes. Not here: executive-session minutes; the separate minutes of the Select Board sitting as Trustees of the Governor Stoughton Fund; the March 11, 2020 minutes (the town posted the trustees’ minutes in their place); minutes the town has not posted for 121 other meeting dates listed in the Agenda Center (most of them from 2018 to 2022, many of them joint sessions, workshops or retreats); and every meeting after August 25, 2026. The minutes are typed (PDFs, and 27 Word files, most from 2018 and 2019). Milton’s minutes give the mover and seconder for each motion. Until 2020 they usually say the Board “voted unanimously” or give a count such as “voted 3-2, with Richard G. Wells, Jr. and Anthony J. Farrington in opposition”; from 2020 on most votes are roll calls listing each member’s vote by name (“Collins YES”, “DRISCOLL: NO”). When the minutes say the vote was unanimous or the count matches the members present, we show every member present as voting yes, and when the minutes name the members who voted no or abstained, everyone else present as voting yes. Where the minutes give only a split count without names, a roll call leaves out a member who was there or names one the attendance list does not show, or the count does not match the members present, we show the count only and add a note. Votes with no count written down, and officer elections recorded as a choice of names, are shown with the result only. Members who stepped aside (recused), had not yet arrived or had left are left out of that vote. We will ask the town to confirm any noted vote.
Most board votes are unanimous. These are the ones where at least one member voted no or abstained, newest first.
