How the Tyngsborough Select Board voted, from the Select Board’s official minutes. 5 Select Board members elected townwide for three-year terms. Robert Jackson served as Chairman, with Steven Nocco, Richard Reault, Hillari Wennerstrom and Ronald Keohane. MassVoter has loaded this board’s minutes from January 8, 2018 on (nothing earlier is online); the start date is a placeholder, and the loaded minutes do not name this board’s Vice-Chair or Clerk. Robert Jackson did not seek a fourth term; his last meeting was April 23, 2018. Until December 2022 the minutes call the board the Board of Selectmen and its members Selectmen. Covers 8 meetings, January 8 to April 23, 2018.
A monthly email on what it voted on, starting in November.
What does the Select Board do? It is the town’s executive board. It prepares the Town Meeting warrant (the list of articles voters decide), appoints members of many town boards, hires the town’s top staff, signs warrants to pay town bills, and grants licenses and permits.
Town Meeting, not the Select Board, votes the town budget and town bylaws.

Loaded: Tyngsborough Select Board minutes from January 8, 2018 through September 21, 2026: 213 meetings and 2,821 votes. Nothing before 2018 is online: the town’s Agenda Center starts in January 2018. The minutes call the board the Board of Selectmen (members “Selectman”) through December 12, 2022 and the Select Board (members “Selectperson”) from January 9, 2023, after the town voted in 2021 to seek a special act changing the name. All the minutes loaded are typed documents with searchable text. Not here: executive-session minutes (including released executive-session minutes that many 2021-2025 files append after the open-session minutes); votes of the Planning Board, Finance Committee, School Committee, Board of Health, Board of Assessors, Library Trustees and other boards at joint meetings; meetings with an agenda but no posted minutes (July 30, 2018, where the file posted is the agenda; November 2, 2020, where the file posted is a copy of the November 12, 2020 minutes; May 22, 2024, a joint housing plan kick-off; January 5, 2026; and May 11, 2026); and meetings after September 21, 2026 (the September 8, 2026 meeting was an executive session only, and the October 5, 2026 minutes are not posted yet). Tyngsborough’s minutes name the mover and seconder and give the count (“motion passes 5-0-0”); a count that matches the members present with no no votes is shown as every member present voting yes. In 2020-2022 remote meetings, and in many 2026 meetings, the board votes by roll call (“Selectpersons Marino, IN FAVOR; Kalabokis, IN FAVOR …”), shown by name; a member who answers “present” is shown as abstaining. When a member votes no or abstains the minutes usually name the member (“Motion carries 4-1-0 with Selectperson Coughlin opposing”); where a split count names no one, or a count does not match the members present, we show the count only, with a note (30 votes), and where the minutes give no count or names we show the result only (3 votes). Members who recused themselves or stepped out are not shown in that vote; members who arrived late or left early are shown only in the votes they were there for. A motion with no recorded outcome, a motion that was withdrawn, or a motion that died for lack of a second is not counted as a vote. On April 23, 2018 the minutes record the board’s recommendation on each Town Meeting article only in a table; those rows are shown as votes. Two different members share the surname Kalabokis: Katerina Kalabokis (2021-2024) and Konstantinos Kalabokis (from 2026). We will ask the town to confirm any noted vote.
Most board votes are unanimous. These are the ones where at least one member voted no or abstained, newest first.
