What does the Board of Selectmen do? It is the town’s executive board. It prepares the Town Meeting warrant (the list of articles voters decide), appoints members of many town boards, hires the town’s top staff, signs warrants to pay town bills, and grants licenses and permits.
Town Meeting, not the Board of Selectmen, votes the town budget and town bylaws.

In Rehoboth, Town Meeting — not the Board of Selectmen — votes the town budget, bylaws and zoning. Rehoboth has not posted official results of its 2024–2026 Town Meetings online, so they are not here yet. We will add them when the Town Clerk’s records are available.
What we checked: No official results found for any of Rehoboth's five Town Meetings since January 2024 (June 4, 2024 Annual; September 30, 2024 Special; June 3, 2025 Annual; November 4, 2025 Special; June 2, 2026 Annual): the town website posts only the warrants, has no Town Clerk minutes or certified votes, and its newest Annual Town Report online is 2017.
"At X of Y meetings" counts the members the minutes list as present at the start of each meeting in this record. Members who step out are listed on each meeting page.

Loaded: Board of Selectmen minutes from January 2, 2018 through August 31, 2026, as posted on the town website. Not here yet: minutes before 2018, the May 17, 2021 minutes (the posted link opens a page, not the file) and minutes after August 31, 2026. Executive session minutes are not included. The minutes are scanned documents; we read them with text recognition, so some names and titles may read awkwardly; each vote quotes the minutes. Where the scan clearly misreads a 0 in a count (for example “5-6” on a five-member board), the vote says so. Most votes give the mover, the seconder and a count such as “Vote 5-0”, and name any member who abstained, recused or was out of the room; we show those votes as recorded. When the count matches the members present with no one voting no, every member present is shown as voting yes. When the count does not match the members present (for example 4-0 with five present and no one named as not voting), only the count is shown. Votes recorded only as “it was voted” (mostly votes to enter executive session) show the result only. Members who recused are left out of that vote. Votes taken by other boards at joint meetings and motions that failed for lack of a second are not listed. We will ask the town to confirm any noted vote.
Most board votes are unanimous. These are the ones where at least one member voted no or abstained, newest first.
