From the minutes

“MOTION: To approve the two requests from Frank Frederickson and Karl von Hone on the exception of the health insurance coverage. Motion by: Tracy Post Seconded by: Joyce Flynn Discussion: Select Board Member Forest used the opportunity to raise a procedural concern. He asked how to ensure there would always be clear, documented proof that an employee has been formally informed of the policy. He suggested adding a written acknowledgment requirement at the time of separation, similar to procedures in federal service, as an added safeguard for both the employee and the Town. Ms. O'Reilly confirmed that such documentation already existed in the form of the signed retirement checklist, but agreed the discussion highlighted the importance of maintaining thorough records. Vote: 5 ayes; 0 nays. The motion carried unanimously..” (Motion: Post, second: Flynn)
