Voting in favor: Heidi Bilbo Timothy Waitkevitch Voting against: George Seibold Raymie Parker Pignone opted to hear from Eversource's representative before voting. Jeffrey Ciceron, project manager from Eversource, stated that the transmission line was up and in service as of 3/25/24. He stated that they are at the restoration phase, but they also need to complete the hand hold that was left behind on Main Street as well. He stated that they are working to get the transformer for the high school. He stated that Eversource does not make transformers and that the delay is a supply chain issue. The time frame that they have been given from the vendor is between the end of June and mid-July. Pignone stated that there has been no information or communication from Eversource regarding the transformer. He stated that the Town was supposed to be receiving weekly updates and we have no heard from anyone for weeks regarding the transformer. Waitkevitch stated that we need the information on the transformer and we need to work hand in glove to make sure that it is here and functional or that there is a plan B. We need to open the high school on time in order to provide education for grades 9-12. We need communication and solutions. Pignone stated that the transformer that is being substituted will not allow the high school to open as designed, and that includes having no hot water in the building. Pignone stated that he is voting yes on the 4/15/24 extension in hopes that there will be better communication and information regarding the transformer.
