Motion presented by Councillor Cogliandro: That the Mayor's Office and Election Commission work collaboratively to develop and send information packets to new residents. This information would include the current elected officials, contact info for city services and a welcome letter. Considering there's been a lot of activity with selling and buying homes in Revere, the intent for this information would be to influence greater voter turnout as well as sharing information so new residents can know the city better. The city has so much to offer and if you aren't on social media or are not sure which groups to follow, you could miss out on some pretty amazing events and establishments.

Motion presented by Councillor Zambuto: That the City Council direct the administration to ensure that communications submitted for consideration by the City Council contain sufficient details and/or backup documentation for the topic to be discussed. The Open Meeting Law requires that the topics listed on an agenda must be sufficiently specific to reasonably inform the public of the issues to be discussed at the meeting. A broad topic alone is not sufficiently specific.
