Loaded: every full City Council meeting with minutes on the city’s meeting portal, from January 1, 2018 through June 22, 2026 (204 meetings, including the organizational meetings each January). Each minutes file on the portal also bundles the previous meeting’s minutes and the agenda attachments; MassVoter reads only the pages that are that meeting’s own minutes, and page numbers refer to that file. Sub-committee meetings (Zoning, Appointments, Ways & Means, Legislative Affairs and others) and Committee of the Whole sessions are not loaded, and votes taken in them and reported in the council minutes are not shown as council votes. Not here: the minutes of the June 28 and July 12, 2021 meetings (the portal has the agendas only). The portal lists no City Council meeting after June 22, 2026, although the city calendar shows council meetings on July 13, July 27, August 10, August 24, September 14 and September 28, and October 5, 2026; MassVoter is asking the City Clerk for those minutes. Older council minutes (2010 to 2017) are on the same portal and are not loaded here. Revere’s minutes record a result for each item. Roll calls list each councillor by name (“ORDERED - ROLL CALL [8 TO 2] · AYES: … · NAYS: … · ABSENT: …”); for those MassVoter shows each councillor’s vote after checking the names against the attendance list. Councillors listed as absent for a single vote are left out of it; councillors listed as abstaining are shown as present, not voting. A few roll calls are written out in the narrative instead (for example on amendments, reconsideration and readings of ordinances); MassVoter shows those too, from the exact wording. Voice votes and items recorded only as “Ordered”, “Accepted” or “Tabled” show the result only; MassVoter never assumes such a vote was unanimous. Items referred to a sub-committee, placed on file, ordered to a public hearing, withdrawn or tabled automatically under the Rules of Order are not votes and are not listed. Steps written only in the narrative without a roll call (for example “Reconsideration fails” or “Ordered on a second reading”) are not listed separately. Elections of the Council President and Vice President show the result only, with a note listing each councillor’s choice. We will ask the City Clerk to confirm any noted vote.
Most council votes are unanimous. These are the ones where at least one councilor voted no or abstained, newest first.
