Motion presented by Councillor Keefe: That the Revere City Council go on record as condemning the murder of George Floyd at the hands of four Minneapolis Police Officers. The Revere City Council further recognizes that decades of systemic racism and violence against people of color has had a far reaching negative impact on the safety, health, and well-being of people of color, families of color, and communities of color. The Revere City Council unconditionally supports all people of color and stands in solidarity with those who suffer oppression and promises to engage each and every resident within our community to actively take a stand against exclusion, inequality, racism, and violence. Hate has no place within the City of Revere.
