Minutes, page 7

ApprovePassed · Voice vote, names not recorded

Motion presented by Council Vice-President McKenna: That the Mayor request the DPW to contract out street signage for the entire City. The months and years of backlog for sign requests cannot be completed by one DPW worker when that DPW worker often has other tasks to perform which may very well be higher priority than a sign. Many Traffic Commission regulations have been passed especially in relation to resident parking. The new regulations cannot be enforced until the signs are installed correctly. Further, many parking violations must be adjudicated due to missing or incorrect signage.
