Councilor Clifton - Mr. Howard is the Town Manager and he communicates with the residents and businesses with folks to take the T. J Councilor Burgess - When was the last time you were on the 240 bus, the Red Line or Commuter Rail. Town Manager Howard - It's been a while. Councilor Burgess - I do not believe that Town Manager Howard would be the best person to have his pulse on the MBTA system that serves our residents every day. I would prefer and I think he has better things to do with his time, resident who is on those services on a regular basis to tell us are we getting our bang for our buck. An honest view point sitting at those meetings. I think it serves us to have a resident who is better suited to be there. Town Manager W. Alexopoulos - Who better knows the ins and out of the MBTA than someone that works for the MBTA. When we were selectman one of the selectman was on the board.
