From the minutes

“Councilor Adams made a motion that the council authorizes the town to enter into this contract, seconded by Councilor Clerger. Councilor W. Alexopoulos - These manufacturers and distributors dumped poisons upon us and I believe we should be going after them. Here tonight think we should go with the other firm, Town Manager wanted the other firm, shorter period of time. Hope the town does not vote for this. Councilor Huff-Larmond - Did you ask the other firm what length of time? Attorney Griffin - No, the council voted for Scott and Scott so I only reached out to them. Councilor Burgess - 1) Comment from Town Manager "Merrigan is my recommendation". 2) If the town chooses to entertain Scott and Scott what is the issue with our attorney? Attorney Griffin - Anderson and Kreger is the local firm that Scott and Scott uses. I worked for Scott and Scott to they are going to go with a different local firm. Vote: 6-3-0 (Councilor Burgess, Councilor W. Alexopoulos and Councilor C. Alexopoulos in the negative)..” (Motion: Adams, second: Clerger)
