“Councilor W. Alexopoulos - Made a motion to accept Council Order 2018-005, seconded by Councilor Burgess. Councilor Adams -Not in favor, learned from Pacella Park. There is no perfect spot in town. Two plans from the planning board and they did not agree Teed Drive. Councilor Goldstein - If you take your car and drive down North Street into Teed drive you will find that the building is at least 1,000 feet from the resident. Is it the better good for the town or the not in my backyard. Have an opportunity to doing the greater good for the community. Councilor Adams - There is no perfect place in town but I do think the Mazzeo drive is far superior because of the location. Being on the outskirts of town provides benefits. This can also be economic development. Free standing building is what is required. Councilor Clifton - Drove up to Teed Drive and it seems to be ideally located, separated from residents, enclosed with businesses. Mazzeo drive is wide open and easily accessible. Councilor Egan - Do not see any potential issues. Sat with reps who deal with medical marijuana and learned a lot. Roll-call Vote 7-1-0 (Councilor Huff-Larmond absent) Motion Passes.” (Motion: William Alexopoulos, second: Burgess)

“Councilor W. Alexopoulos - Made a motion to accept Council Order 2017-051A, seconded by Councilor Burgess. Councilor W. Alexopoulos - Discussed at the last hearing and brought it up several times. Councilor Egan - Concur with Councilor W. Alexopoulos, discussed before, happy to vote in favor, more options is better. Councilor Clifton - A little concerned about having two areas in the community zoned for grow medical. Avon, Milton and Stoughton does not have it. But Holbrook has it. Will not be supporting this motion. Roll-call Vote 7-1-0 (Councilor Huff-Larmond absent) Motion passes.” (Motion: William Alexopoulos, second: Burgess)
Approve Council Order 2017-051B to amend the allowable uses in the Great Pond District
Councilor W. Alexopoulos - Made a motion to approve Council Order 2017-051B to amend the allowable uses in the Great Pond District, seconded by Councilor Burgess.
“Councilor W. Alexopoulos - Made a motion to approve Council Order 2017-051B to amend the allowable uses in the Great Pond District, seconded by Councilor Burgess. Councilor Adams - Introduced back in December after seeing what happened at the last public hearing. I think we have now found better locations. Better than Pacella Park. Will be voting in favor. Councilor Burgess - When marijuana became legal we had a question on what do we do with it. We chose not to let it go anywhere. We put it in Pacella and there was a lot of opposition, it created a discussion and council to engage in conversation. Do not object to this order. Councilor Clifton - Visited the site on a number of occasions, just so close to residential properties. Less than a stones throw away. Believe that the folks have concerns and my intention is to support this motion. Roll-call Vote 8-0-0 (Councilor Huff-Larmond absent) Motion passes.” (Motion: William Alexopoulos, second: Burgess)
