How the Medfield Select Board voted, from the Select Board’s official minutes. 3 Select Board members elected townwide for three-year terms. After the March 2018 town election the board reorganized on March 27, 2018: Michael Marcucci as Chair (3-0) and Gus Murby as Clerk (3-0); Osler Peterson remained a member. Covers 34 meetings, March 27 to March 19, 2019.
A monthly email on what it voted on, starting in November.
What does the Select Board do? It is the town’s executive board. It prepares the Town Meeting warrant (the list of articles voters decide), appoints members of many town boards, hires the town’s top staff, signs warrants to pay town bills, and grants licenses and permits.
Town Meeting, not the Select Board, votes the town budget and town bylaws.

Under the state Open Meeting Law, boards post notice at least 48 hours ahead, not counting weekends and legal holidays.
"At X of Y meetings" counts the members the minutes list as present at the start of each meeting in this record. Members who step out are listed on each meeting page.
Loaded: 215 Medfield Board of Selectmen and Select Board meetings with minutes, from January 2, 2018 through June 30, 2026, including three joint meetings (only this board’s votes are shown), three special meetings and one work session. These come from the town’s Agenda Center, which also holds some older minutes from 2014 to 2017 that MassVoter has not loaded. Not here: meetings whose minutes were never posted, including most of June to November 2023, mid-September 2024 to early January 2025, mid-May to the end of October 2025, most of November and December 2025, and every meeting after June 30, 2026. In all, more than 80 Select Board meetings from 2018 to September 2026 have an agenda in the Agenda Center but no minutes. MassVoter is asking the town for these minutes. Medfield’s minutes usually name the mover and seconder and say the vote was unanimous, give a count such as “Vote: 3-0-0”, or (in 2020 and 2021) record a roll call naming each member. When the count or the word “unanimous” matches the members present, each member is shown voting as recorded. Some minutes give a count that does not match the members present, name only two members in a roll call, or give a split count without saying who voted which way; those 22 votes show the count only, with a note. 34 votes record no count (for example “it was so voted”) or are a choice between candidates, and show the result only. Seven minutes files are scans and were read by text recognition (May 22, May 29, June 5, October 2, October 16 and October 30, 2018; March 16, 2021). We will ask the town to confirm any noted vote.
Most board votes are unanimous. These are the ones where at least one member voted no or abstained, newest first.
