How the Hull Select Board voted, from the Select Board’s official minutes. 5 Select Board members elected townwide. Kevin Richardson chaired the board. MassVoter has loaded minutes from January 2018 on; this board organized before then. The town lists agendas but no minutes for February 8, 2018, March 28, 2018, May 3, 2018, May 17, 2018. Covers 9 meetings, January 11 to April 26, 2018.
A monthly email on what it voted on, starting in November.
What does the Select Board do? It is the town’s executive board. It prepares the Town Meeting warrant (the list of articles voters decide), appoints members of many town boards, hires the town’s top staff, signs warrants to pay town bills, and grants licenses and permits.
Town Meeting, not the Select Board, votes the town budget and town bylaws.
From the agendas Hull posts on its official site. Agendas can change; the posted agenda is the official one.
What Town Meeting decided
In Hull, Town Meeting — not the Select Board — votes the town budget, bylaws and zoning. Here is what it did with each article, in the Town Clerk’s own words. Any registered voter can take part, and most votes are by voice or show of hands, so there is no list of who voted which way.
Annual Town Meeting · May 4, 2026 51 votes: 46 passed, 3 failed, 2 other
13B(a)Community Preservation: $530,000 ($310,000 general fund, $220,000 open space reserve) to improve Jones ParkPassed“The motion passed by a voice vote.”
13B(f)Community Preservation: exterior painting of St. Nicholas United Methodist Church (amount printed as "$35,00")Passed“The motion passed by a voice vote.”
Not here yet: the May 6, 2024 Annual Town Meeting (only the warrant is posted, no minutes or results), and the full minutes of the May 4, 2026 Annual Town Meeting (only the Clerk's results sheet is posted, and it leaves the results of Articles 15 and 26 blank).
Titles are short descriptions of each article from the official record; the quoted words are the Town Clerk’s. A vote at Town Meeting is not the final word on everything: some articles also need a ballot vote (such as a tax override) or the Attorney General’s approval (bylaws).
"At X of Y meetings" counts the members the minutes list as present at the start of each meeting in this record. Members who step out are listed on each meeting page.

About missing minutes
Loaded: Select Board minutes from January 2018 through September 22, 2026, as posted on the town’s Agenda Center (the board was called the Board of Selectmen until 2021). Not here yet: years before 2018; meetings the town lists without posted minutes (several each year, including October 2025 to early January 2026); and the April 21, 2021 minutes, which could not be loaded. One set of minutes (January 8, 2025) is a scanned document, which we read with text recognition. Most votes are recorded in a table with the mover, the seconder and the result. When the minutes say “Unanimous” we show every member present as voting yes. Many votes also list each member’s vote by name. Some votes, mostly from 2025 and 2026, give only a count such as “3-2-0” without names; those show the count only. Where the names in the minutes do not match the count, or a roll call leaves out a member who was present, we show the count only and add a note. Members who stepped aside (recused) or were out of the room for a vote are left out of that vote, as the minutes record. Votes by other boards at joint meetings (School Committee, Planning Board, Hull Redevelopment Authority, Library Trustees, Board of Assessors) and votes taken in executive session are not included. We will ask the town to confirm any noted vote.
Most board votes are unanimous. These are the ones where at least one member voted no or abstained, newest first.
