How the Fall River School Committee voted, from the School Committee's official minutes. 7 members: the Mayor, who chairs it, and 6 elected citywide. Elected November 2023; first met January 8, 2024, when Mimi Larrivee was elected Vice-Chair. Tom Khoury joined the committee. Sara Rodrigues’s last meeting in these minutes is May 20, 2024; Collin Dias first appears September 9, 2024. The district’s folder has no minutes for June to August 2024 or for January, February, April, September and October 2025. Covers 18 meetings, January 8 to December 8, 2025.
A monthly email on what it voted on, starting in November.
What does the School Committee do? It hires and evaluates the superintendent, sets goals and policies for the public schools, and approves the school budget.
The City Council decides the total amount the schools get; the School Committee decides how that money is spent.

"At X of Y meetings" counts the roll call at the start of each meeting in this record. Members who step out are listed on each meeting page.
Not here yet: the district’s minutes folder does not have minutes for the regular meetings of June, July and August 2024; January, February, April, September and October 2025; or any meeting after January 12, 2026. Five 2022 special meetings (March 1, 7, 16 and 23, and the August 29 finance meeting) also have no posted minutes. Subcommittee minutes are in the folder but are not on these pages yet. In 19 votes the count printed in the minutes does not match the names listed (2022: April 11, August 8, October 17 and two on November 14; 2023: November 13; 2024: two on January 8, three on September 9, October 21, November 18 and December 9; 2025: March 10, July 29, August 18 and two on November 10); those show the count with a note and are not counted on members’ pages. Some motions in the minutes have no recorded vote; those are not listed. We will ask the School Committee office about all of these.
Most committee votes are unanimous. These are the ones where at least one member voted no or abstained, newest first.

From the Fall River School Committee’s official approved minutes: January 2022 to January 2023 from the district’s BoardDocs site, and later meetings from the district’s School Committee minutes folder, which the district links from its School Committee portal. Every vote in these minutes is a roll call with each member named; we check every count against the names and quote the exact wording.
