To continue the public hearing to August 5, 2025

From the minutes

“Mr. Metters made a motion to continue the public hearing to August 5, 2025. Second: Mr. Smith Clerk Smith requested delegating the more routine public hearings for utility petitions, special one day licenses, and other licenses of that nature to a party designated by the Select Board to handle rather than spending time at Select Board meetings on these items. There was discussion about utilizing the consent agenda for these items. There was a request to obtain an opinion from Town Counsel on the legal ability to place a public hearing item on a consent agenda. The benefits of placing the items on the agenda as is the current practice were discussed as it allows the Select Board to better understand the request and ask questions. Chair Nicastro requested to add this discussion to future agenda. The motion to continue the public hearing to August 5, 2025 was called to a vote. Roll Call Cory Metters: yes Stuart Smith: yes Dean Nicastro: yes.” (Motion: Metters, second: Smith)
