E. Review of FY2026/CY2025 Select Board and Town Manager Goals and Objectives

Continue with the goals and objectives currently in place

Minutes, page 9

ApprovePassed · Unanimous, 5 present

To continue with the goals and objectives currently in place

From the minutes

“Mr. Nicastro made a motion to continue with the goals and objectives currently in place. Second: Mr. Schell Town Manager Goldsmith, noted that the Board did a substantial review and look forward to 2030 in the FY2024/CY2024 review, and as a transition from prior years, the fiscal and calendar year was included for consistency. She noted that it may take a budget year for funding and more than a calendar year to accomplish the initiatives for a multi-year completion date. She suggested eliminating the annual FY/CY reference. Board discussion continued with a question if the fiscal year and calendar year timeframe was removed, what would be the impetus for a review. Mr. Nicastro amended the motion to add “subject to annual review as part of the budget process.” Amendment Second: Mr. Schell The Board expressed interest in maintaining work on the previously identified goals. There also was discussion about reaching out to the Monomoy Regional School Committee regarding school choice for Chatham Elementary as suggested by Monomoy Regional School Superintendent Carpenter. There was a discussion about working with Federal partners for the Weather Station at the airport which should be added to the spreadsheet. Mr. Nicastro amended the motion further to say, “subject to periodic review which shall be at least annually.” Amendment Second: Mr. Schell As it related to the Educational Excellence goal, there was additional discussion to ensure that the goals of the Select Board remained as voted but allowed for input and discussion on those items. Roll Call Cory Metters: yes Jeffrey Dykens: yes Shareen Davis: yes Dean Nicastro: yes Michael Schell: yes.” (Motion: Nicastro, second: Schell)
