Adopt Bogart would like to change wording in part 1 from 'enforce' to 'encourage' and would like wording added that this does not infringe on anyone's first amendment rights
Adopt Bogart would like to change wording in part 1 from 'enforce' to 'encourage' and would like wording added that this does not infringe on anyone's first amendment rights. Hewins would like wording added to section 1 "Please be advised this policy does not in any way take away any one's 1st Amendment Rights." Hoffman stated this policy conflicts itself with the wording. He is not against the code of conduct, although it is not enforceable. Belbin stated he is against the entire policy as they are all suggestions, there is no enforcement. The Board is accountable to the public that votes them into office. Townsend agrees to both points that it is not enforceable, but there needs to be guidelines to draw a line of respect, can be put out the public and endeavor to follow which is important to everyone. Bogart agrees that this is not enforceable, but sees Hoffman's and Townsend's points as well
