What they voted on
Final approval before the bill goes to the Governor
Official wording: H.3654, Question on passing the bill to be enacted (2/3) Senate
Passed
What it means
This bill lets the city of Lowell use about 18.65 acres of city land at 512 and 512.1 Clark Road, now athletic fields and public space that extend into Tewksbury, to build a new public high school. It also lets the city use about 3.7 acres on Douglas Road, now parking for Cawley Stadium, for new playing fields tied to the school. To avoid a net loss of recreation land, the city would designate and, if needed, improve 22.35 acres or more of other city land for equal recreational use.
