What it means
Allows solar panels and related equipment on certain farmland in Northfield owned by Hopping Ahead LLC, by amending the state agricultural covenant on that land. The solar use must follow the state's agricultural solar rules. Before the change, the landowner must pay the Department of Agricultural Resources an amount set by the commissioner, no more than it was originally paid for the covenant, and that money may be used only to buy new agricultural covenants.
