What it means
Lets the state grant Boston Gas Company permanent easements over three areas (about 815, 2,220 and 2,418 square feet) of the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton for gas mains and a fenced pipeline inspection station, called the Milton Inline Inspection Project. Boston Gas must pay at least the appraised value (reviewed by the Inspector General), pay all costs, and pay at least that amount again, or $10,000 if greater, into the state Conservation Trust to buy replacement conservation land. The easements can be used only for the gas facilities.
