What it means
Lets the state commissioner of agricultural resources release about 2.0 acres on Dodge Road in Rowley, owned by The Herrick Farm Trust, from a state agricultural covenant, in return for a payment the commissioner sets. The money must be used only to buy new agricultural covenants, and the state keeps a 2-year right of way over the released land. Before the release, the covenant must be extended for 2 more years on a 1.2504-acre parcel off Mill Road that the bill describes as the farm's only drinking water source for its dairy operation.
