What it means
This local bill lets the state release part of an old 30-foot-wide water line easement, about 6,096 square feet, on property at 649 to 655 Squire Road in Revere and 1 Wesley Street in Malden owned by Wesley Squire, LLC, because the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority no longer needs it. Independent appraisals must be done and reviewed by the Inspector General, and the owner must pay the state any difference in value, though officials may accept less if they find the state was already paid through an earlier easement grant to the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. The owner pays the costs of the release.
