What it means

Lets the state convey about 2.5 acres of state land next to 32 Commercial Street in Foxborough to the town for a fire sub-station. The town must pay fair market value for that use and also transfer land, an interest in land or funding of at least equal value to the Department of Agricultural Resources, and it pays all transaction costs. The inspector general must review the appraisal and deed, and the land may revert to the state if not used for fire purposes; the bill has an emergency preamble.
