Official wording: S.2582, Question on passing the bill to be enacted (2/3) Senate
Passed
What it means
This local bill lets the state grant the town of Hingham a permanent and a temporary underground easement on state conservation land known as Stodder's Neck so the town can install and maintain a sewer main. The town must pay at least the appraised value or give the state land or money of equal or greater value for conservation, and must pay the costs of the deal. It also lets the state give the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority a permanent easement, at no charge, for access and utilities at its sewage pumping station there. Public access to Stodder's Neck may not be blocked without written approval.
