What it means
Lets the state's capital asset management commissioner convey state land on Lake street in Shrewsbury, including the former Irving A. Glavin Regional Center. About 13.48 acres would go to Shrewsbury Youth Soccer Association, Inc. for $1, limited to public recreation, with the town getting an option to buy it for $1 if that use ends; about 49.6 acres would go to the town for $1, limited to farming and recreation. Two more Glavin parcels (about 18 acres and about 2.38 acres) would go to the town at appraised fair market value, limited to town uses, with the inspector general reviewing the appraisal. The soccer association and the town pay the transfer costs for the $1 parcels.
