What it means
Lets the state's capital asset management commissioner move control of about 34.3 acres in Middleborough (Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5 on a 1971 plan) from the Department of Correction to the Department of Fish and Game. The land is to be used for fish and wildlife conservation, habitat protection and related public recreation. The Department of Fish and Game pays all costs of the transfer, such as surveys, appraisals and deed preparation. Passed as an emergency law, so it takes effect right away.
