What it means
This Senate bill lets licensed used car dealers keep the required used vehicle record book in their electronic data system, in a form the Registrar of Motor Vehicles approves, instead of keeping duplicate records. The registrar may require dealers to provide printouts of records for specific vehicles and for each vehicle that is on the lot on the day of an inspection and was bought, sold or traded in the previous 7 days.
