Set the water rates as instructed in the packet inclusive of the modification to the fire sprinkler service charges to be billed at $100.00 per inch on a semi-annual basis

Minutes, page 2

ApprovePassed · Unanimous, 5 present

Upon a motion by Mr. Langley and seconded by Mr. Kennedy, the Board voted unanimously to set the water rates as instructed in the packet inclusive of the modification to the fire sprinkler service charges to be billed at $100.00 per inch on a semi-annual basis. On discussion, Mr. McGovern clarified the water rates will be increased by 3%, $0.15 per thousand gallons, which means if a consumer uses between 0 to 50,000 gallons the price goes from $5.05 per gallon to $5.20 per gallon, and if a consumer uses greater than 50,000 gallons, the price goes from $6.05 per thousand gallons to $6.20 per thousand gallons. Along with this, the fee for fire sprinkler service charges will be increased from $75.00 per inch to $100.00 per inch ($50.00 each billing cycle) and to make that billing semi-annual as opposed to annual. Mr. Lavin spoke about a multi-tier system that will address consumers that use more than 50,000 gallons. He also explained there is not a different fee for out of town
