M. Leblanc Cummings, Seconded. Unanimous vote 3-0. M. LeBlanc Cummings, aye. M. Walsh, aye. R. Gotti, aye. N. Milosavljevic-Fabrizio, 32 Webster Street, asked pursuant to Chapter 3 of the existing Charter, the Select Board doesn't have the authority to appoint an assistant town administrator; and pursuant to Chapter 6 of the Charter, the Board may only appoint a "Town Administrator". If we effectively abolished the position of assistant town administrator, how can anyone be appointed by either the Select Board or the Town Administrator to have that position? Per P. Ahearn, the discussion this evening was to appoint a Town Treasurer, and not an Assistant Town Administrator and the Board is in a position to appoint a Town Treasurer per the Town Charter and Massachusetts General Law. P. Ahearn stated that not all town positions are appointed per the town charter.
