Approve a temporary change to the Taxi Company renewal period, outlined in the Hackney Vehicle Regulations, by allowing a onetime six-month extension until June 30, 2021, for all current licenses....
N. Hyde moved to approve a temporary change to the Taxi Company renewal period, outlined in the Hackney Vehicle Regulations, by allowing a onetime six-month extension until June 30, 2021, for all current licenses. If by June 30, 2021, a 2020 licensed Taxi Company does not apply for renewal, they will no longer have the opportunity to apply as a renewal and need to come back to the Board as a new application. This temporary renewal extension is in recognition of the economic conditions imposed upon local taxi companies, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
