McCall for the role of Wayland's inaugural permanent Town Manager and authorize GovHR USA and the Chair to enter into negotiations. In discussion, A. Gutbezahl noted the opportunity to double-check references was still available to the Board. There was a discussion about a possible second motion. T. Fay amended the motion, seconded by A. Gutbezahl, to add that the offer was subject to the Board's review of the reference checks performed by GovHR USA for M. McCall. In discussion, D. Watkins suggested that the Board should also deliberate on the nature of the negotiations and any contractual agreement before it enters into an agreement.
