Insert Article (Z) Loker Turf Field proposed by the Recreation Commission into the Town Meeting Warrant
D. Levine moved, seconded by L. Anderson, that the Board of Selectmen insert Article (Z) Loker Turf Field proposed by the Recreation Commission into the Town Meeting Warrant. The Board discussed the reasons for reconsidering this article based on the close vote at last year's Town Meeting, the Recreation Commission's diligence in responding to residents' concerns, the long history of the site, and the Town's vote to purchase it for Recreation and Conservation purposes. T. Fay concurred with D. Levine that if the article did not pass, the Commission should look at other sites, although the Loker site was the least intrusive option in terms of impacting neighbors.
