Postpone and reschedule the Town Election to June 27th , 2020

Minutes, page 7

Adopt orderPassed · Unanimous, 5 present

MOTION moved by Mrs. Mackenzie to postpone and reschedule the Town Election to June 27th , 2020 seconded by Mr. Gallivan Mr. O’Neil any discussion? David I’m glad that we now have the authority to move the election. I wish it wasn’t so late in the game. I wish that the legislature had acted. It would have saved us legal fees. Little disappointed in local legislative delegation that they didn’t get the done for us. But it’s good to see that we’ve got this done now. Ben No comment Mark I think it’s goo we got the court order and can move forward and Liz can move forward with all or any other planning finished up. Nancy I agree I’m glad that we’ve moved it. It think people will feel a little bit more comfortable. A little more time passed and I think that will get us better voter numbers anyway and that’s what’s important for everyone to feel safe when they’re voting and you know there’s a lot of wishes throughout all of this and you know we all wish this didn’t happen. So I mean we have to do what we have to do and deal with what we have to deal with. I think this is the safest for the Town of Walpole and thank you to everyone who has done that. Jim O’Neil- I agree to what you said. Vote by
