Minutes, page 2

ApprovePassed · Unanimous, 5 present

That the Board authorize Centerville Pie company to erect a temporary sign on one corner of the intersection of Rte. 130 and Jan Sebastian Drive that conforms to the 16 square foot sign limit described for a temporary sign aligned with Bylaw 6.60, part 6 through December 31, 2025.

From the minutes

“Mr. Sampson moved that the Board authorize Centerville Pie company to erect a temporary sign on one corner of the intersection of Rte. 130 and Jan Sebastian Drive that conforms to the 16 square foot sign limit described for a temporary sign aligned with Bylaw 6.60, part 6 through December 31, 2025. Seconded by Mr. Ellis. Mr. Hoctor expressed a concern that it be on town property and not private property. Mr. Ellis said that if the by-laws are being updated, enforcement should be addressed. Mr. Dunham responded that the Building Department is overworked with additions, short term rental inspections and other tasks, so enforcing the sign by-law is not a priority. It is not totally ignored, but it is less important. The motion was approved unanimously (5-0)..” (Motion: Sampson, second: Ellis)
