Project that has already been unanimously approved by the Planning Board providing 2 affordable units. He further explained the process of his recusal when that project came in front of the Planning Board.

From the minutes

“Motion to Adjourn JG LS Meeting ended at 10:05pm Minutes transcribed by Shannon Corea Packet material can be viewed online here. Full meeting can be viewed online here. BOS On January 9, 2023 BOS removed a Black man from seat of power on the Planning board Dave Abramson the Chair stated the Black man is a "developer" which created a conflict BOS minutes later approved a white developer to the Black man's seat on the Planning Board. The white applicant's current project at 397 Commercial St. is under construction adding a new residential unit that is not affordable & adds to his existing non affordable inventory. The white applicant's project made it through all the regulatory boards in 2022 including the board which he now sits in a position of power. The white applicant owns a waterfront vacant lot, parking lot and 3 residential structures at 401, 401A & 397 Commercial St. To conclude he will not develop the most valuable parcels in town further is not plausible. The white applicant in his verbal application statement failed to mention his current development project to the BOS & public. Whereas, the Black man transparently divulged his position on a project that has already been unanimously approved by the Planning Board providing 2 affordable units. He further explained the process of his recusal when that project came in front of the Planning Board..” (Motion: Golden, second: Sandberg)
