“Selectman Canty made a motion to include Article 14 with $500,000 funding from free cash on the Town Meeting warrant and recommend that Town Meeting approve it. Chair Golden stated that while he has joined Selectman Canty over the last several years advocating for this fund and believes it is forward thinking, he does not think the Board did enough last week to address the tax burden that is being appropriated and his hope is that Advisory & Finance and Town Meeting will further reduce the tax levy. Chair Golden stated that he would rather leave this money in free cash for now in hopes that they use it. Roll Call 3/1: Golden-No, Quintal-Absent, Canty-Yes, Iaquinto-Yes, Keohan-Yes.” (Motion: Canty)
