“MR. CHAIRMAN, I MOVE TO APPROVE RETIREE HEALTH INSURANCE FOR 2026 AS INDICATED IN THE "RENEWAL" COLUMN OF THE ATTACHED SUMMARY. MOTION BY: MRS. MORRIN SECONDED BY: MR. MASSE There was a discussion. Key points are below- The 16% increase is significant and impacts budget flexibility for maintaining level services. Active employee health insurance costs are absorbed 70% by the town, compared to 50% for retirees. Implement renewal effective January 1, 2026. Continue monitoring health insurance costs and explore alternatives for future years. The Insurance Advisory Committee and retirees have been consulted and advised of the situation. No viable alternatives were identified, and transitioning plans could be disruptive. VOTED BY: MR. STUTO AYE MRS. MORRIN AYE MR. WALLNER AYE MR. O'LEARY AYE MR.
