What does the School Committee do? It hires and evaluates the superintendent, sets goals and policies for the public schools, and approves the school budget.
Town Meeting decides the total amount the schools get; the School Committee decides how that money is spent.

Not here yet: the district has posted separate minutes for only 10 full-committee meetings, from July 22, 2025 to January 20, 2026, and none from 2021 to mid-2025 on its current website. Draft minutes for 7 more meetings (June 25 and November 17, 2025; February 10, March 3, March 24, May 19 and June 2, 2026) are printed inside later agenda packets; they are shown here and marked as drafts. There are no minutes at all for August 19, 2025 (workshop), March 10, April 14, May 12 (workshop), June 4 (reorganization) and June 16, 2026, or for any meeting since July 2026. MassVoter is asking the district for the missing minutes. Nearly every vote is recorded as “approved unanimously” and is shown as every member present voting yes. Subcommittee meetings and motions with no recorded vote are not listed.
Most committee votes are unanimous. These are the ones where at least one member voted no or abstained, newest first.
