From the minutes

“Ms. Musto moved to adjourn from Open Session and enter Executive Session for a discussion regarding strategy with respect to litigation filed by the Attorney General v. the Town of Milton et. al., No. SJ- 13580, No. SJ-2024-0078 (Supreme Judicial Court, Suffolk County). based on my belief that discussion of this matter in open session may have a detrimental effect on the litigating position of the Select Board. The Select Board will return to Open Session. The motion was seconded by Mr. Keohane. The Board voted by roll call (4-0-1 ) to enter Executive Session. BRADLEY: YES KEOHANE: YES ZOLL: ABSTAIN WELLS: YES MUSTO: YES.” (Motion: Musto, second: Keohane)

From the minutes

“Ms. Bradley moved to approve the Compliance Action Plan required by the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, (EOHLC). The motion was seconded by Mr. Zoll. Prior to the roll call vote, Mr. Zoll shared a prepared statement. Mr. Zoll read a quote from John Adams, attorney for the defense of the British Soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre: "Facts are stubborn things, and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictums of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence. The Law, in all vicissitudes of government, fluctuations of passions or flights of enthusiasm will preserve a steady undeviating course, it will not bend to the uncertain wishes imagination or wanton want and tempers of men." Mr. Zoll, an advocate for the MBTA Communities Act, noted that Milton lost more than it gained by not abiding by the law. The Board voted by roll call (2-3) to support a Compliance Action Plan required by the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, (EOHLC). The motion failed. MUSTO: NO BRADLEY: YES KEOHANE: NO ZOLL: YES WELLS: NO.” (Motion: Bradley, second: Zoll)
