Vice President Knight offered an amendment, in addition to outside legal counsel a financial audit might be appropriate as well as a public account of some sort that we could also take a look at the finance aspect of it. Councillor Bears said his amendments were that the Council support an outside third party investigation into the legal and personnel matters received by the Council; and that the Council request that the Mayor appropriate funds to the Council for an outside legal counsel. He said his third suggestion was that the Council continue forward with budget meetings, which doesn't need to be a part of this. Councillor Falco seconded the motion as amended. The motion passed as amended on a roll call vote of seven in favor and zero opposed.
