5 members elected townwide (3 until May 2026). The board grew from three to five members in 2026 (Chapter 21 of the Acts of 2025). Nicole Doyon Lynch, Judy Mooney and Frances-Feliz Kearns were elected on May 19, 2026; Tyler Macallister did not run again. On June 9, 2026 the board chose Jodi L. Bauer as Chair, Jordan C. Collyer as Vice Chair and Judy Mooney as Clerk.

What does the Select Board do? It is the town’s executive board. It prepares the Town Meeting warrant (the list of articles voters decide), appoints members of many town boards, hires the town’s top staff, signs warrants to pay town bills, and grants licenses and permits.

Town Meeting, not the Select Board, votes the town budget and town bylaws.

How the town can raise its score
  • Minutes posted (+2): Post approved minutes for every meeting on the town website. Don’t require a sign-in to view them.
  • Each vote named (+3): On any vote that isn’t unanimous, write how each member voted. For example: “Motion passed 3–2. Yes: Smith, Jones, Lee. No: Brown, Silva.” A roll call on split votes is the simplest way to do this.
  • Posted quickly (+2): Post minutes within 30 days. If approval takes longer, post a draft marked “Draft – not yet approved” and replace it later.
  • Past years online (+1): Keep at least five years of minutes online. When the website changes, move the old files instead of deleting them.
  • Readable text (+1): Save minutes straight from Word or Google Docs as a PDF instead of printing and scanning them. If a scan is needed, turn on the scanner’s “searchable PDF” or text-recognition setting.
  • Member photos (+1): Show a photo of each member on the board’s web page, with their name, the date their term ends and how to contact them. A group photo of the members, with everyone named in the caption or on the same page, earns half a point.

What Town Meeting decided

In Mattapoisett, Town Meeting — not the Select Board — votes the town budget, bylaws and zoning. Mattapoisett has not posted official results of its 2024–2026 Town Meetings online, so they are not here yet. We will add them when the Town Clerk’s records are available.

What we checked: Mattapoisett has not posted official results for any Town Meeting since January 2024: its website has only the warrants for the May 12, 2025 and May 11, 2026 Annual Town Meetings, its newest Annual Town Report online is for 2022, and no Town Clerk minutes or certified votes for the May 13, 2024 Annual Town Meeting or any later meeting were found.

Meetings

About missing minutes

Mattapoisett posts agendas and meeting videos for its Select Board, but no minutes: none of the 28 Select Board meetings from July 2025 to September 2026 has minutes online, and the town website has no Select Board minutes from any year. The board approves its minutes at its meetings, and the town says minutes are available after approval, so they exist; they are just not posted. That is why this page has no votes yet. MassVoter is asking the town for the minutes under the public records law and will add every vote when they arrive.

No minutes posted yet, so no votes or attendance are shown.

Votes will come from the Mattapoisett Select Board’s official minutes. The town posts agendas in its Agenda Center and meeting videos on Vimeo, but not minutes. MassVoter never grades or scores officials.
