“Ms. McMahon moved to amend the Transfer Station hours to be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until further notice; Mr. McCormick seconded. Chad Contonio, Transfer Station Foreman, was present and represented his staff and their concerns. He said that they had hoped for Monday and Tuesday off, not two days in the middle of the week. He said that if his staff did not approve of the Tuesday and Wednesday closures, that this would need to go back to the Union and post a two-week notice - pushing this issue off even further. There was further discussion. Ms. Johnson felt that continuity was best, suggesting again to close on Monday and Tuesday. Charles Keegan, South Dennis, said that this decision should be made on wisdom, not convenience. He spoke against closing the Transfer Station, at all. The Board voted: 5-0-0.” (Motion: McMahon, second: McCormick)
