To renew the Seasonal Common Victualler All Alcohol Licenses for Chapin's Fish & Chips, Chapin's Beach Bar, Ebb Tide Restaurant, Improper Bostonian, Joey's Pizza, Kreme 'N Kone, Lighthouse Inn, Royal Pizza, The Sailing Cow Deli & Café, The Sea View, South Street Deport, Summer Shanty, Swan River Restaurant, Wee Packet, West Dennis Sand Bar and Wooden Shoe until November 30, 2020; Mr. Terrio seconded. Ms. McMahon was concerned with commonality of some of the calls at these two locations. She wasn't objecting to approving these but she was concerned that there were enough similar types of calls that she felt they need to discuss mitigation with the proprietors or managers. Mr. Lambton agreed regarding the Sand Bar but in regards to Chapin Fish & Chips calls were not the similar. Ms. McMahon wanted to nip it in the bud and that they had noticed the level of issues. Mr. Mezzadri felt that crowd control could be an indication of too many people being allowed in the facility. Mr. Lambton pointed out that if you deny a license for the establishment calling for help with crowd control then they'll stop calling for help. Mr. Mezzadri pointed out this was more of a discussion. Mr. Flanagan respected and understood the concern. He suggested they renew the license then do a show cause hearing. Ms. McMahon's issue with that was what if there was a similar complaint but not exactly the same. She would rather address what has gone on. She wanted to let them know the Board was aware there ha

Ms. McMahon's issue with that was what if there was a similar complaint but not exactly the same. She would rather address what has gone on. She wanted to let them know the Board was aware there had been issues and they would like to know how the establishment planned to deal with their issues. She felt it was part of their responsibility. She would be ok with renewing tonight but she wanted to make a formal request for them to come in. Ms. McMahon suggested not calling it a show cause here but renew their license tonight and request they come in. Mr. Mezzadri pointed out the establishment should be calling for help with crowd control. Mr. Flanagan wanted to be mindful that industry was going through a lot right now and delaying the renewal added more to the plate.
