Award and executing a contract for the Town Hall Electrification Project to NB Kenny
Question of awarding and executing a contract for the Town Hall Electrification Project to NB Kenny. Deputy Town Administrator, Melissa Goff explained that last year, the HVAC unit on the roof of Town Hall failed. The Public Building Department, while considering replacement options, realized that this was an opportunity not only to replace the chiller but also to transition the entire building to fully electric operations. This project was previously discussed and debated at Town Meeting as a Capital Improvement Program (CIP) item. There is a write-up in the current CIP document that provides further details. The electrification project aims to modernize Town Hall's infrastructure, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and support the town's sustainability and climate goals.
