No Action on Article 2

Minutes, page 6

ApprovePassed · Unanimous, 5 present

On motion, it was, Voted 5-0 No Action on Article 2. Warrant Article 16 - Amend Article 8.41 of the Town's General By-Laws to expand the requirements of the Tree Preservation By-Law (Plazonja - Resident P8, et al.) Petitioner Alisa Plazonia made a presentation and noted that other committees are reviewing and revising the article. This article addresses climate change by focusing on preventing actions and retaining our trees and their benefits. The current bylaw is extremely narrow and limited to residential properties. If Brookline is serious about fighting change, we need every tree we have, each tree matters, and we need to hold people accountable when removing a healthy mature tree.
