Calendar Review and potential vote on Calendar Items. 5
Calendar Review and potential vote on Calendar Items. 5. Waldo-Durgin Project Demolition Update n. Presentation by Chestnut Hill Realty regarding the demolition at the Waldo-Durgin site. Public Comments: 1. Bruce Levin TMM17 spoke about the asbestos situation with the project, and asked the Select Board to read about these materials. 2. Evan Silver spoke on the project; he was initially supportive of the new development, but now with the uptick in rodents, it is concerning. Please encourage Chestnut Hill Realty (CHR) to step up measures to mediate the problem. The residents are paying for extermination services and others should also be incurring a cost and increasing the service calls. 3. Jonathan Davis TMM17 spoke about the asbestos abatement prepared for CHR. The Select Board should be engaging their own DEP inspector; he asked several questions about the project management and monitoring efforts. He feels this project should be deferred to colder weather when windows are closed and fewer people are out on the streets.
