Reserve Fund Transfer- Fire Department aa

Minutes, page 11

ApprovePassed · Unanimous, 5 present

Reserve Fund Transfer- Fire Department aa. Question of authorizing the following Reserve Fund Transfer request from the Fire department:

From the minutes

“15. Reserve Fund Transfer- Fire Department aa. Question of authorizing the following Reserve Fund Transfer request from the Fire department: Charlie Young reviewed the request related to utilities. The fire dept utilities budget shows that natural gas prices came in higher than anticipated, mainly due to the new training facility being used higher in the winter than anticipated. The department's own diesel pump at one of the stations is not factored into the budget. There was an increase in water use at one station, an anomalous issue. There is no indication as to why at this time. Chief Sullivan reviewed the water department and the building department, has been out to check on things, and is baffled as to what is driving up this amount. They are continuing to monitor the issue. The fire personnel budget reflects a $979K increase driven by overtime. This is a continued issue. The Chief has taken some measures to lower this amount. The request will be forwarded to the Advisory Committee for approval. Approved Aye: Bernard Greene, John VanScoyoc, Mike Sandman, Paul Warren, David Pearlman.”
