Motion: by Councilor Ringius Second: by Councilor Boericke President Ryan asked Councilor Morin to explain the reason for the amendment. Councilor Morin explained the intent of this project I believe is the create housing that complements existing commercial property. I believe that having a hotel in addition to a residential use as a right of use would be overly burdensome on the property. I've spoken to Attorney Marinelli and there is no objection from him as to this amendment. I think it enhances the protections of the ordinance. Councilor Ringius stated there will be two votes now. The first vote will be to vote on the amendment. We will then have a vote on the main motion with the amendment if that passes.
