Chair Hilberg moved to reconvene the Boxborough Leadership Forum and invite the Finance Committee, School Committee, Library Trustees, and Planning Board to join it. Seconded by Member McKiernan. Discussion: Cindy Markowitz stated that she participated in the prior BLF iteration and found some value in it. She expressed concern that a reconvening could be slightly counterproductive, as there are many meetings already happening and there may be redundancy in the discussions. She asked if BLF would comply with Open Meeting Law, including keeping meeting minutes and inviting the public. Chair Hilberg stated that it will comply with Open Meeting Law. Quorums will also be posted for the meetings. Ms. Markowitz asked that this be memorialized in the documents that the Board votes on. Chair Hilberg AMENDED the motion to reconvene the Boxborough Leadership Forum, to be operated under the Open Meeting Law, and invite the Finance Committee, School Committee, Library Trustees, and Planning Board to join it. Seconded by Member McKiernan. Discussion: Ms. Markowitz asked if this group is intended to deal with communications or problem solving. She expressed concern regarding potential creep of the scope of work as well. Chair Hilberg stated that it will be a chance for boards/committees to update other groups. This is a communications tool. Ms. Markowitz requested that it be set up as such. Vote: Approved: 3-0-1, with Member Fowlks abstaining. k.
